Tinka & Co Size Guide

Every piece is handmade on the Central Coast, and a beautiful fit is part of the craft. Finding your dog's size takes under a minute — all you need is a soft tape measure, or a piece of string and a ruler.

One rule for every measurement: snug, not tight.

Bandanas

Measure around the widest part of your dog's neck.

Size Neck Best For
S 20–30 cm
8–12 in
Teacup & toy breeds, and cats — Chihuahua, Maltese
M 30–40 cm
12–16 in
Most small-to-medium dogs — Cavalier, Cocker Spaniel, Cavoodle, French Bulldog; larger cats
L 40–55 cm
16–22 in
Bigger necks — Labrador, Golden Retriever, Springer Spaniel

Note: Woollen bandanas have a thicker knot, so if your dog's neck measurement is near the upper end of a size range, we recommend sizing up.

Cats:
cats fit a Small or Medium depending on their size — when in doubt, measure.

Designer range: Medium is our standard size, with an optional button fastening for larger dogs who need a little extra room.

Dapper range: Same sizing, but the thicker wool blend wears a touch closer — allow a little extra space, or add the button closure. See the photos on each product page for both options.

Bow Ties

No measuring needed — our bow ties slip over your dog's collar with a stretchy elastic loop that fits collars up to 4 cm wide.

Size Width Height
One size 7 cm 5.5 cm

Wider collar or a harness? An adjustable elastic strap is available separately. For Sailor Bow Ties, see the size chart on each product page.

Snoods

📏 Measure First
Every dog is unique. For the best fit, measure your dog's head rather than relying on breed or weight. Wrap a tape measure around the widest part of your dog's head, over the ears, as though you're putting the snood on.

Size HEAD (OVER EARS) Best For
S 28–34 cm Toy breeds, Cavalier puppies, Papillons
M 35–45 cm Most spaniels & trimmed coats — Cavalier, Cocker Spaniel, Cavoodle
L 45–55 cm Full coats & long, heavy ears — Springer Spaniel, full-coated Cockers

Between sizes?

• Choose your measured size for a tailored fit.
• Size up for a more relaxed fit or if your dog has long, thick or fluffy ears.

Why trust our sizing?

Our sizing has been refined using customer feedback from over 1,000 snoods sold to spaniels and other long-eared breeds.
