Sizing
Tinka & Co. Size Guide
1. Bandanas
Measuring Your Dog’s Neck: Use a soft tape measure around the widest part of your dog's neck. If you don’t have a soft tape measure, a piece of string or ribbon will do—just measure it with a ruler afterward! Leave enough room for comfort, but not too much—aim for a snug, comfortable fit.
🧣 A Note on Our Ranges
Our Dapper and Designer bandanas have slightly different sizing details to keep every pup looking and feeling their best:
Designer Range:
Medium is our standard size, but you can choose to add a button fastening — perfect for larger dogs who need a little extra room.
Dapper Range:
Medium is also the same size, but the thicker wool blend means you may need to allow a bit of extra space. A button closure is available for added comfort and flexibility. 📸 Refer to the image on the product page (using the dropdown next to the size chart)
Size | Neck Size (inches) | Neck Size (cm) |
---|---|---|
Small | 8 - 12 | 20 - 30 |
Medium | 12 - 16 | 30 - 40 |
Large | 16 - 22 | 40 - 55 |
2. Bow Ties
Measuring Your Dog’s Collar: Our bow ties are designed to slip over your dog's collar using a stretchy elastic loop, which comfortably fits collars up to 4 cm wide.
If your dog wears a wider collar or a harness, you can purchase a separate adjustable elastic strap — just like the one Dan (the human!) is wearing in the photos.
Sailor Bow Ties - Refer to the Size Chart drop down box on each of the product pages.
Size | Width (cm) | Hight (cm) |
---|---|---|
One Size | 7 | 5.5 |
Matching human bow ties with fabric straps coming soon – because dapper isn’t just for dogs!
3. Snoods
Measuring Your Dog's Head and Ears: To ensure the perfect fit, measure around the widest part of your dog’s head, just behind the ears. This is where the snood will sit, helping to keep those gorgeous ears clean, dry, and out of the way.
You can also measure your dog’s neck to ensure the snood will slip on comfortably but stay snug without slipping off.
🧵 Tip: Use a soft tape measure or a piece of string and a ruler. If your pup is between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort.
